Day 01 | 28 January 2027 — Negombo

Arrival in Sri Lanka — A Gentle Beginning

Upon your early-morning arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your personal guide and assisted with your arrival formalities.

Following a short introduction, enjoy a comfortable transfer to Tamarind Tree Garden Resort, located close to the airport. Your Garden Villa will be ready for your arrival.

After checking in, settle into your villa and enjoy a relaxed start to your Sri Lankan journey. The remainder of the day is at leisure, allowing you to rest after your overnight flight and settle comfortably into your surroundings.

Day 02 | 29 January 2027 — Negombo → Dambulla → Sigiriya

Ancient Cave Art & Arrival in Sigiriya

After a leisurely breakfast, begin your journey towards the cultural heart of Sri Lanka.

En route, visit the magnificent Golden Cave Temple of Dambulla, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the island’s most remarkable ancient monasteries. Climb approximately 300 steps to discover a series of atmospheric caves adorned with hundreds of Buddha statues, depictions of gods and kings, and vibrant murals dating back centuries.

Continue to your hotel in the Cultural Triangle and check in. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 03 | 30 January 2027 — Sigiriya → Polonnaruwa → Sigiriya

Sigiriya at Sunrise & Polonnaruwa by Bicycle

Early this morning, visit Sigiriya, the iconic Lion Rock, one of Sri Lanka’s most significant ancient sites.

Enter the archaeological site and walk through the remains of the royal gardens, with their ponds, water features, terraces and natural boulder formations, before beginning the ascent of the rock fortress. Climb to the summit, where the remains of King Kashyapa I’s 5th-century palace complex can be found, and enjoy panoramic views across the surrounding countryside.

Return to the hotel for a leisurely breakfast. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

In the late afternoon, depart for Polonnaruwa, the medieval capital of Sri Lanka and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the ancient city by bicycle, following the designated routes through the archaeological site and stopping to discover its impressive remains, including royal palaces, monasteries, stupas and Hindu shrines.

Continue to Gal Vihara, where four impressive Buddha images were carved directly into a granite rock face during the reign of King Parakramabahu I.

Day 04 | 31 January 2027 — Sigiriya → Kandy

Kandy & the Sacred Tooth Relic

Upon arrival in Kandy, visit the Sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, one of the country’s most important Buddhist sites. The temple complex, set beside the tranquil Kandy Lake, features the richly decorated shrine believed to house a sacred relic of the Buddha.

Observe devotees arriving with offerings of flowers, incense, and oil lamps as they pay their respects at this highly revered place of worship.

Highlands to Wildlife Country

After the safari, return to the camp and enjoy breakfast before departing for the southern coast and the historic city of Galle.

Upon arrival in Galle, enjoy lunch at one of the cafés within the historic Galle Fort. Thereafter, check in to your hotel and spend some time at leisure.
