Rediscover Journeys was founded on the belief that the most meaningful journeys are the ones that give back. We are committed to responsible travel, environmental stewardship, and to building a lasting, positive impact on the communities, wildlife, and cultural heritage that make Sri Lanka extraordinary.
As part of our founding philosophy, a portion of every journey (approximately 1%) is donated to SOS Children's Villages Sri Lanka - a cause we believe in deeply.
Our approach to responsible travel is built around four commitments that guide the way we design experiences, work with communities, and care for the island we call home.
We partner only with hotels and lodges that practice responsible waste management, water conservation, and low-impact operations. Our wildlife safaris use certified naturalists and follow strict ethical sighting guidelines.
We employ local chauffeur-guides, naturalists, and artisans. Wherever possible, we source meals, experiences, and services directly from the communities you visit — so your journey directly supports local families.
We are committed to respectfully presenting Sri Lanka's living heritage. We partner with local historians, temple custodians, and traditional artisans to ensure culture is shared with integrity, not commodified.
A portion of every journey is donated to SOS Children's Villages Sri Lanka, supporting family-based care and education for children who need it most.
SOS Children's Villages Sri Lanka has been providing family-based care, education, and protection to vulnerable children across the island for decades. We chose to partner with SOS because we believe every child deserves a safe home, an education, and a future full of possibilities.
